I haven't been looking inside my xbox's in a while. Is that samsung drive the one that came with the xbox or is it that one that can be flashed with a modified firmware?
I found this on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-SD-616- ... 564cefca3a

Xboxs shipped with one of three drive from factory. You could either take your Xbox apart to find out or look at the trays:

After my first box died the day I unpacked it, I took it back and remember reading on the forums to get a serial # ending with 4 or something like that. I did and sure enough I have a samsung in mine.

I have a Phillips drive, It seems to be the only drive that I haven't seen fail. Thompson makes tons of noise, and I also have a 2nd box which has a Samsung. It doesn't open easily and barely reads. My Phillips drive seems to work great though.

I love my Samsung, hit it real good and hard it opens up right now right now. Never hard an issue with it really because I never use it. Just ftp all my games over, movie over, the drive gets used maybe twice a year back in the day. But it still managed to fucking die lawl.

Ya the one I posted should be the one Grim's looking for. Went on Xbox-Scene saw all the dvd drive mods for the Samsung SD-616T

There are 4 models the xbox came with. The 4th which is not pictures in what troy posted is an LG drive. You can take the Samsung SD-616T pc dvd drives and flash the xbox firmware to it and have it read original disks. It's the same drive internally, you just need to flash the xbox firmware to it, reverse the polarity of the drive motor, and solder a few wires for tray status, and other io lines that the yellow cable inside the xbox has.
Don't snort the magic, we need it for the network.

So, aside from some blocks I know not what they do and a few extra vertex resources, here's bsp mesh rendering started.

I would like to make some sort of model viewer using XNA, however, I have no clue how to learn how model raw works. Maybe a look at entity's source?

Past to half-way point on this Asian Vacation, and I'm getting really excited to be heading back to Canadia. Don't know if anything will change, but regardless I'm stoked.

Beat it twice so far, and started my 1999 play-through an hour ago. The ending was really awesome: best of the Bioshock endings in my opinion. I also love how stream-lined combat is now: I just played though Bioshock before playing though Infinite—and the plasmid slot and tonics (and oh my god the cameras) have a really different feel to them.

I have to say that Elizabeth as a game-mechanic was done awesome. Never gets in the way, never have to worry about what she's doing, and she's constantly helpful. I wasn't sure if its chance but I had subtle changes in experience when I played with the dove choker choice vs. the cage one. Did you notice any differences? She seemed more subdued with the cage, and didn't say as many random things (but this could also have to do with me shooting everything that moved on my second play-though too)

Finished my 1999 mode play-through. Was not much harder than 'hard' so felt a bit disappointing as a challenge. Invulnerability items and 'Return to Sender' really break the difficulty. Great game though. 9/10

I'm 99.9% sure there isn't a difference. That choice adds to the entire premise of the game, that in one universe you can pick the bird, but in another you can pick the cage, meaning that there is an infinite (HURHUR) number of universes where you try to rescue Elizabeth, but each is different. Constants and variables.

Kind of smart if you ask me, adding those choices that have no consequence.

I got the Google nexus 4. It's a fantastic phone. Typing with it is so easy. I'll be sure to post screenshots when I get home from school tomorrow. This message was typed with it. Google chrome is nice and fast too.
