I agree with this, I'd rather be a system administrator than a programmer as a career. You don't constantly have to produce shit as a sysadmin, so it would be a lot more chill than always working on something. It's not too bad though if you have a variety of interesting projects.

Nope, in my case anything I get paid to do I no longer enjoy.
DoorM4n wrote:Holy shizz, Grim, you're getting paid for that? Who is paying you?!

And I would argue that money is a good way to motivate people--of course the money has to be the right amount.
My college, working at the help desk 8-5 and it was dead. So I remote connected to my pc and just worked on reversing some blam stuff all day. Also lots of money might motivate someone, even if the work is not that hard, but if you have to work with shitty people it may not be worth it in the end.

I agree with this. When I was getting paid for xbox 360 hacking I found that it became my job more than it was my hobby, and eventually after working with enough shitty people I gave it up as a job and a hobby. Sold almost all my xbox consoles and only have a couple left that just collect dust now. I also have no plans of getting back into it when I had so many things I wanted to do and complete, that were almost complete.

Worked 8 to 5 most of the week so I have a nice $300 coming my way. Got my suspension in and lowered my car a lot, to the point where my sway bar was grinding on my axle. Cut that out, now it hits my frame a tad bit if I have a passenger, but fuck it. Gotta save up almost $600 to get my new after market sway bar that goes under the axle instead of over. Probably gunna try to sell this last dev console so I can get it asap and have that squared away.

XZodia wrote:Well you know how the ai in most (if not all) mp maps is really easy to kill? and hardly ever attacks you (if they ever do)?
I fixed that.

Legendary AI in MP.

Or I could even make it harder than Legendary...
Can you post an example of this? Grim had a pretty good ai mod for foundation with a variety of covenant creatures that did somewhat pursue the player. I would love to see it with some elites or brutes gone wild. And did I mention jetpack elites and buggers?

Well if you want to use custom values, IIRC there is a reflexive in matg with the difficultly settings. In multiplayer, the AI uses the easy settings.
There is quite a lot of settings so if you want to quickly copy over a harder difficultly to easy, use Mystery.

There is also the number of enemies that spawn on easy, medium, hard, etc, in the ai placement tag_block in the scenario. Then in the ai zones placement block you can change the radius of the zone the ai spawn in so they could move around more or less, depending on if you want them to say, guard something or roam.

Using OpenTK with C# after trying to use other DirectX wrappers is... making me way too happy.

Looking to learn how the real tool set works with tag files and such. It has some useful structures for tracking resources when they are in a decompiled state. Once I finish some more research on it I will start working on h2tool and h2sapien. Tool has all the code to build maps, and process all the data in the maps (ALL THE DATAS), and sapien has all the code to render all the stuff on the maps.

That date I was talking about turned out to be that she was really nervous. She's definitely into me. We had a nice and quiet evening by ourselves tonight and we had a good time discussing whether Friday was a date. In fact, she is really nervous being around me so Im going to start taking things slowly. Damn, it feels good right now.

It can read them, and extract them to OBJ, or entity builder tags, and imports from OBJ. Lots of code floating around
