Re: Official Halo 2 Modeling and Rendering Thread

Here is the most current version of my Assault Rifle... I rebuilt the front chamber-like area, now I am going to model the detachable (Or at least I think) display piece. I think this is coming along nicely...

Front View:

Rear View:

Note: I realize that the rail mount for the detachable display is too high up. I realized this on my High Res rear view render, but was too impatient to render another set of renders.

It's just the color... For some reason it shows up in the render, but not in the view port. I think it is because it is a separate object, but I am probably wrong.

Anyway First person view... Possibly?

Dark~ It better be if you're 6' 5"

Click, I think you need to stop doing so many renders and start doing some textures.

^ That is why you don't render against a black background.

jesus. when you said wrong topic i almost fell off my chair. 2 times in a row couldnt be good  sadly i dont have the know-how on expanding the model, but i might begin by making it all one model seeing that right now its just a number of primitives.

I remember when you made this and I thought it was really kool,
now I look at it and think "why the fuck does it randomly get thinner"
like about 1/4 up from the handle... I think it just looks bad >_>
plus the random line before the head of the blade...

just looks like shotty workmanship mango, bahaha X'D
