The Guarantee by Dylan Matthews

Sorrow never escapes my swimming soul,
Breathing only to see new morning bright.
I shake and tremble in life's ferocious swells,
My love for her embraces each undertow. She
Rides these waves yet she glows with light, I'm mixed
In a whirlpool of confusion and doubt.
Swimming, struggling for infinite breaths--resentment fills my
Gasping lungs. Confusion barrels in,
Tossing and forcing me floundering about.

Holy shit I haven't made a post in so long. I have visited and seen posts and shit (the few that appeared) but have been too lazy to type in my 20-something number password.

Working at a fast food resteraunt may be a shit job but at least I'm climbing up fast.

Now instead of asking for extra hours myself, the management it calling asking me if I can take extra hours.

Ya, now they want me as a crew leader so that happened.

Initially wasn't interested and to be honest I'm still secretly not but accepted anyways.
I figured that there is no excuse to not expand my skill set (and resume) even if that means 10 hour shifts.

Collision bsp is giving me a headache. I have the feeling I had it all figured out at one point, and I see what I think is the answer but my brain is not where is used to be with this stuff.
Edit: holy the naming on this struct is horrible, makes it even more confusing trying to figure it out when things have multiple identities and uses.

Well, I am starting to try to learn how to program in unmanaged C++. This is quite different than what I am used to.

Unless you have a specific reason for doing so (such as making a game) I don't think its worth learning.

There are tons of reasons to learn C++! To name a few:

+ Any serious software development job will involve C++, not just game dev. Reason being it is faster to run as it compiles straight to native code, can access memory directly if needed, and the language is old: it has been in use for a long time and there's no good enough reason to change the language.
+ C++11, or 'Modern C++' specification was finalized last year, meaning the language has new features etc to keep with the times.
+ Portability: C++ runs on the most devices (windows/mac/linus/iphone/android/xbox/playstation)

I'm not saying that you should stop using C#, but I wouldn't say it's not worth learning C++.
