Well I really am not sure what I want to do about this. Looks like the database is simply missing everything involved with that forum. We also have a lot of other crap in there too. Debating just rebuilding the database and leaving out all the crap we don't need anymore to cut down on bloat, maybe throw the rest of the stuff up into a separate database. Or I could just hack in the old stuff from a copy I made a long time ago, which will be missing a lot of things, either way we'll be missing things probably unless I get lucky with an automated backup and merge into the current one. Well I think I'm talking in circles now, so what do you guys think of this?

On a more serious note, if its running that bad a new forum/database wouldn't hurt stuff could be transfered or at least have this forum in readmode only.

I think merging with the newest available backup would be the best option, but obviously backup the current before merging.

ATM I've been using Google caching to read old articles. Sometimes I can only get a certain page, but I've saved the ones I've looked at before they disappear.
I'd like to have access to at least some of the old stuff, but whatever you think best.

My head feels like crap, headache/developing migraine. But I met today's goal of 30 minutes spent learning something useful so this is also a happiness post. Going to work in an hour. Nice to see some activity on Remnant recently, keep it up guys.

Applied for drivers license. They refuse to accept my rag of an original birth certificate as the embossing wore off however the Army accepted it as is.

My original was good enough to pick up a weapon defend my nation, but not a set of car keys.

Wednesday is my next day off so hopefully I can rebuild the forum and update all the software to prevent any more 'miss-haps'...

So I'm quitting coffee, been dry totally for a few days and have been getting constant headaches. I know this is a symptom of caffeine withdrawal, but it makes me wonder because I used to get headaches constantly when I was a kid (before I drank coffee), and they just went away when I started drinking coffee and energy drinks... so I'll give it a few weeks to see if I level out but if I still am getting headaches I'm going straight back to coffee :p

Also going to quit smoking pot for a few weeks, maybe a month, to see if I can't get my shit straightened out and get some projects moving forwards.

To minimize the caffeine withdrawal you could try a mix of ibuprofen and tylenol, watch the dose of tylenol though as lots of it is tough on your liver. This is basically Excedrin migraine without the caffeine. If the headaches are super bad you could try dosing yourself out just a bit of caffeine along with that, like some green tea or something.

So my room is hot as hell now in the summer. Gonna have to do something about that now. Thinking tinfoil or white paper on the windows and isolate all my electronics and vent them outside. Replace my lights with LEDs... probably get an A/C and nigger rig that too.
