Drugs, morality, current events. More or less how fucked up our country/the world is, but its not heavy political bullshit it's just two average guys opinions.
Also my new computer and monitors will be here thursday, so excited!

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
One computer, multiple monitors. Why not? Multiple monitors are great for flight sims and I assume Grim is probably using them more for multiple desktops / programming screens. You can see your code on one and the output on another. Same thing goes for video editing and many other uses.Grimdoomer wrote:Also my new computer and monitors will be here thursday, so excited!

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
It's nice for coding so you can see your code on one screen and reference material on another without all the switching back. I couldn't go back to just one monitor after using 2 at work so I had to get another one too, it's awesome
Hope you like yours and put them to good use, what kind are you getting?

Nice man. Having to alt tab doesn't sound that bad, but it's so much better to not have to when you're coding.
Also, this makes me happy

Just bought a projector retailed at $2,500 on amazon.com for $1.00. Amazon glitches FTW! If I actually receive it I'm gunna sell it and make some extra cash.

Well, if it was advertised for $1, and you have the purchase receipt, you might be able to fight it if they don't ship it to you.

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
Multiple monitors are fucking awesome regardless of what you're actually trying to get done.
In the past (when I had the desktop) I'd use one for entertainment (mainly Youtube) and the other for coding or modding.

Been programming more and decided to see if I can give controls non client areas, and it works! You can make controls that can be re-sized and dragged around inside the windows form!

This may sound hilarious, but I've found refuge in modding for Halo Custom Edition. :p

Still getting the hang of it, it's not too different from H2X but actually having a compiler is really weird if you know what I mean.OwnZ joO wrote:Nice man, you have any good maps? Most can be ported to xbox fairly easily.

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
I didnt know anything about dubstep till recently when some random person (Total stranger) handed me a CD an said i dropped it.
Being the jerk that i am, I said thanx and put it in my bag knowing it wasnt mine.
Later I was wrapping the shit i bought, and i found the CD.
It was a fan made CDR, Label was in sharpie and said ''If You Like Dubstep" under was a phone number.
I tossed the CD in the trash, but later as i was taking the trash out and retrieved the cd, then played it.
It was a homade mix of some dubstep tracks, with some skrillex, and other i know not.
It took a few listens in my truck befor i was a fan, but now i bump that shit all the time.
Thanx who ever made the cd and thanx to whoever handed it to me.
Check out youtube for heavy dubstep mixs
or watch this just for the girl

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
1) Lindsey Stirling; I'm pretty amazed.
2) I started running recently. Like, really recently. Not sure whether to be happy or angry; but my legs don't feel pain when I'm running, they never have, and while that's great and all, they do get sore the days after a run. So I ended up going for a run, and they've been painfully sore for like, 4/5 days. So, I haven't been able to go again. So I'm going to have to figure out how to run enough without making myself immobile for a week.
But yeah, Merry Christmas/Happy New Years, Remnant.

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
Simple. You're pushing yourself way too damn far at such an early stage of running.Aumaan Anubis wrote:1) Lindsey Stirling; I'm pretty amazed.

A good workout will usually leave you sore for maybe a day max if it was a hard burn, but not several days.
At such an early stage it's not the distance or speed that's important. It's recurrence.
Run a short distance 4-6 days a week to get your body used to such an exorcise.
Then bump up the speed, distance, and/or days a little more.
After your body has adjusted to doing such a cardio-intense exorcise. It will be much more forgiving when you push it further.
Also make sure you are stretching at least before a run. Preferably after the run as well
This will loosen up the muscles before the run and to help them "cool back down" afterwords.

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
I've actually heard that the newest thoughts on stretching before/after running is that you should not do it. This came from the guy I work with who just ran a marathon. Basically you're supposed to warm up and ease your way into running harder, and then cool down at the end of your run. I'm not really sure why exactly this is, but he said he'd heard it from multiple people that he trusts on the subject of running.
