I decided I wanted to watch some videos and shit via Windows Media Player.
Remember how it is in XP/Vista? You could dock the window on the task bar and have a mini window showing.
Very small and efficient use of space.

I run Windows7. They removed that function.
Instead the main player window has thinner edges and can be made to be "Always On Top." Fucking cop out, Microsoft.

Just as I am about to search for a dockable player I accidentally discover the playback buttons on my keyboard will directly control the player whether it's the active window or not.

I instantly love WMP again because of that.

Got another programming job, this one is pretty big and seems promising. If it goes through I will have some steady cash flow for a while. So my plan is to take this laptop I have and shrink the ubuntu partition to 1/3 of its size. Then install a dual boot with xp (god I hate xp) and work on this programming job while on break or in CSI class, since I have nother better to do in that class any way. The only bad thing is this laptop is shit, the battery only lasts an hour off the charger, the hdd is small and it has poppy cock for ram. But I hate laptops any way so I have no plans on getting a new one.

No I fucking hate linux, I only used it for the powerpc gnu compiler/assembler but since they both suck cock I'm gunna spend the first week in CSI class writing my own powerpc assembler. I will just have to do without a compiler. Once the assembler is complete I will have 0 use for linux.

I guess I hate it because it's a pain in the ass to setup shit. The reason I never use it is because I have 0 use for linux. There is nothing that would make me want to use it. Windows does everything I need and linux can't do half of it.

Get out before the addiction settles in. Put your efforts(and your money) towards a real life hobby.

I'm guilty of gaming addiction, A newspaper over here did a piece on addicts and their warped view on reality (wanting a gravity gun etc) and they said all it took was 10 hours a week to blur the lines of gaming and reality, fuck I could do 10 hours in half a day given the time, I've never gone "halo crazy" but because of GTA vice city, I nearly stepped out into the road to carjack some guy in a Porche.
The weather gets shit round here in a month or so (for English standards) and I'm doing well enough for cash to have 1/2 of December and all of January off work so lets blur those lines of perception baby.
