Re: I Hate Trojans
have you tried doing a "system restore" to before you installed it? that normally gets rid of anything, I suspect if you know how to do this you already have but if you have not post back asap and Ill talk you thru it

Re: I Hate Trojans
super anti spyware pro?? that sounds like spyware to me, (I looked it up, of course it isn't) but it sounds as believable as "internet security tool bar",
system restore sorts 99% of problems for the other 1% theres always heavy blunt objects,
never had any problems to date, I use spybot S&D and that has an immunize option to prevent problems before they start I also use lavasoft adaware as a secondary measure and AVG as virus cover, I only leave AVG running all the time everything else I set running before I go to bed along with a virus scan and it switches it's self off when done
good luck

Thats the same setup I use. My computer never gets any viruses or anything, the only problems I have are a result of my computer itself.

Re: I Hate Trojans
I've done system restore on my XP based PC sooooo many times. Only one time was actually from an attack.
Most of the time I did system restore was to boost the computers performance and give it a fresh start.
That one time I got hit with malicious code was when I was browsing the web with Internet Explorer. I got to a website that required ActiveX control. I hit accept and thats when it went downhill. Turns out the ActiveX control was a Trojan and destroyed several system files. My anti-virus software got it but it done some minor damage.
Thats why to this day I hate Internet Explorer with a figg'n passion.

Re: I Hate Trojans
Some websites require Internet Explorer to use ActiveX Control to load/use a webpage.
The restart wasn't really a burden. The PC's performance had been lacking for a while and needed a recovery.
