I swear, any time I think about asking a girl something in a romantic sense, it takes like, a 10 day cycle of: waking up in the morning and thinking that I'd be insane for asking, and then stopping halfway through a COD game at 2:00 AM and realizing I have nothing to lose.

It's like a dual personality fist fight except the morning personality eventually loses because he's too shy and wants to avoid confrontation.

My brother bought the new Pokemon HeartGold game.

So I got the SoulSilver version.

His Cyndaquil got nothin' on my Totodile.

Do it man, if you get shot down no big deal. Might seem like it for a little bit, but it's not at all. If you do go out with her though it could be the start of something or just a good time. If you ask you at least have a chance, if you don't you have none. You've got nothing to lose man.

I just got ubuntu server installed on my old computer and now I have remote ssh and sftp access as well as the ability to host a website. I also installed subversion but don't know if it's configured yet because I don't have time to check, but overall I'm pretty happy.

So I called again, left a message. But I didn't really expect a call back.

And yet, 15 minutes later, she calls back.
I'm, of course, in the middle of a COD match, but I throw that controller across the freakin' room to grab the phone as it's ringing.

She sounded genuinely happy and surprised to hear me. And that kinda' bugs me in a way, girls have a way of acting so truly happy and not actually meaning it, so I can never tell what they're really thinking, but I was happy about it.
I did end up asking her, but she's already going with a friend, she said. And I just basically was like, "Yeah, I kind of expected it as I asked a little bit late." etc.

She also texted me like, 5 minutes later after the call, saying how surprised she was to hear from me, and how sweet it was that I asked. She then said, paraphrased:
"Sorry prom won't work, but maybe we could hang out some other time and catch up or something?"

And I'm like :O

I text back that I'm all for catching up if she wants, and that I understood the prom thing.

And I'm still like :O

And I in my naivety have no idea what to expect, whether she legitimately wants to hang out or what. She hasn't texted back for awhile, so I don't expect one. But I also don't know if I'm supposed to text her to hang out, because God knows I've wanted to date her for a few years(you can consider me shy when it comes to girls).

So yeah. Dilemma.

But thanks for suggesting the leaving a message idea. I probably would not have done it were it not for y'all. Even though she turned me down, I don't regret it in the least

Ha. Although it worked for me that time, it was more because of luck. The disk was defective.
The drive is also worn out. Laser starting to fail. It won't read any disks until the console warms up inside then it reads fine.

My BFBC2 disk stopped reading after three days while other disks read fine.
There was no way a new disk would fail to read 98% (<<< actual percentage) of the time while the rest of my disks ranging from semi-new to 3 years old read fine.

I got it swapped with a new copy, works fine now.

I have developed muscle memory so that I'm so used to typing "byte" for coding, that when I try to type "bye", I type byte instead I actually did it while typing this too...

Got the mainmenu editor injecting map pics now. Just need to add extraction code and test it out in game.

EDIT: Added extraction code and auto-resign. Everything looks good on the computer, just need to test it on the xbox now.
