A'right Capt'n.
I implemented a slightly different sort of tag listing (only for tag, not folder listing)

Image

Should I have it reset every time or remember with a reset button (and/or right click remove)?

Currently it saves all the listings into the registry, so it will show the same when Entity is re-opened. Unless you or others think this is dumb, I will just add "clear all" and "click -> remove" options.

EDIT: Check the auto-update, build 4100 out.

I have build 4000 on 64bit Windows 7, and it loads fine but I wanted to update however it said "Current Version is up to date"

Love the fixes you've been making.

4100 is out (which adds 64-bit support again for BSP viewer), but the update reports it as 4000.
There should be another update out soon.
Forget my posts as they always have strange build numbers. All it tells you is how late I was up :XD:

The bsp selection in the bsp viewer doesn't work. Other then that all of the other features seem to be working.

I like the way the tag list saves the last items you viewed

Thanks. I've had a few people say the BSP selection doesn't work, although I don't see why it wouldn't and it always works for me. Are you running XP/Vista/7 32/64-bit?

All I do is set the vertex count to 0 (and maybe null all the vertices it's been a while), so I don't see how it can continue to draw them all. It must lock it or something.

I think I probably could. I'll fix this and finish up the minor updates and hopefully release the updates before new years.

Here is a sugestion:
After duplicating a tag, add the duplicated tag to the quick list. Also, instead of putting the quick list stuff under the All Tags node, put the quick list in its own node like so:

+ <ALL TAGS>
- <QUICK LIST>
+[hlmt]
+[weap]
+[etc...]

not:

+ <ALL TAGS>
+[hlmt]
+[weap]
+[etc...]

A better solution would be to just have the ListView not refresh itself like it does and to instead remember its layout and position. So when you right click on a tag and hit duplicate all you see is a new node appear under the current one (or wherever it would appear alphabetically).

Sorry, click, I probably won't waste time throwing the quick list under a new section, but I'll post the code when I get the next one out. By all means feel free to do so and I'll incorporate it into the newer versions.

Jackson, I did this for the chunk cloning section a couple versions ago as I hated it always doing that. I will do this for the ListView as well. Just trying to see if I can help mutation along.

Thanks. I already fixed that. It'll be in the next release. It was a slight change I made so it didn't handle lightmaps correctly (23).

New release out. Can't remember what all is involved, but the above error, the new (old) Meta Editor is less buggy and added Bitmap Internalization anyways. Enjoy :D

first time I opened any modding app in months was a few days ago, newest build of 2.1.7 (4100) and I didn't have any issues with bsp viewer etc. nice job, keep up the amazing work troy it is greatly appreciated by many, particularly since someone who isn't active on these forums told me there was a new build -_- so I know a few that don't regularly check here appreciated it as well.

The only bug ive found is: at the top of the map it says i have zanzibar open, but i have coag open.

I did open zanzibar, to transfer some stuff to coag, but after closing zanz it kept labeling coag as zanz.

I didn't send plugins with it. It's possible that it can't find the plugins, haven't tested to see if it shows a box stating they are missing or if it just shows the box above maybe.

Weird. I know (but keep forgetting) that it likes to switch back to the first opened map at times. Is it possible that you closed coag and were doing this stuff to zanz?

Also, can someone verify the internalizer. I haven't xbox tested it, just translated and modified the code. I will see if I get the chance to test it today otherwise.

I am absolutely, positively tired of receiving this:

That is not just for "matg." It is for every single solitary thing I click on. :(

Other than that, this is the most amazing Entity I've ever used. :D

No plugins. I would suggest that particular error have a new case added to it: Plugin not found or some crap.

Request:
Can you add a feature to the meta editor that allows you to right click a value and it will tell you the offset in memory.

Sorry, I always forget to post the latest source. I don't care if it's for personal use or not. I figure if someone can benefit from it or if someone can benefit Entity by it, by all means.

Tell ya what, I'll post the source when I release the new version in a day or two. It's got a nice little add-on ;)

That sounds like a good idea. Offsets are always nice to know ;)

Something extreamly useful and not hard to do.... Well... Make an option where you can right click a value in the meta editor, and change it's type to like int, float, short, etc, and write it to the plugin. But make sure when you change an int to a short, you add two values to keep the sizes correct.
Don't snort the magic, we need it for the network.

make hex viewer highlight what is selected in the meta editor. :D
The only issue with that is there's only so much screen room. I suppose it could be made floating so you can put it where you want...

I'll see what I can do. Shouldn't be too difficult other than re-writing the plugins and even that shouldn't be too hard.
