As well as wheel bearings & spindles possibly. Most likely just the drums and shoes (or pads and rotors depending), but it would be a good idea. Then again, if it's a sunfire or a sprint the $120 for new rear brakes is more than the worth of the carDoorM4n wrote:xxpenguinxx wrote:Now to replace the entire rear left brake because there is no longer a brake pad... just metal on metal...
Fix that shit fast! You have to! You will destroy your break if you don't!

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
I've been asked to give a speech at a convention in front of 70 people over my successes in college and my student organization I started. This speech will be part of a 14hr, full day convention.
I have also been asked to introduce the governor candidate of Texas, Debra Medina, in a speech a week later.
And I love my girlfriend so much.

NEVER smoking again. Had the most life changing expirience that was so unbelieably horrible, I'm happy to be alive right now.

Haha well I'm glad you're still alive. I'm happy that I can study thanks to the help of what I'll just call "brain steroids". This is the most I've done as far as productive studying probably ever.

It must be rather significant to turn your from pro-pot to anti-pot so quickly.

Just because someone is not smoking again doesn't mean they're anti pot. Anti pot means that someone thinks they should be able to decide that other people can't smoke

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
Me and this kid I know, sean, got high. I through down about 3/4 of a 10, he through down like 1/4 of a 10. (It means I pitched in 3/4 of a dime bag, he pitched in 1/4 of one). Because I through down the most, we split one bowl, then I smoked the other two myself. It was a lot, and I wasen't really thinking. I was high of my fucking ass. For the next two hours, I kept spacing out, not know where I was, or what was going on. I was so fucked up. I remember some parts of what happened during the two hours. But to keep a long story short, I remember waking up at 8:30 trying to remember what the fuck happened. I remember walking to burger king with my friends, then when we got back, talking to some other friends, and taking to my mom. All while I was high. I didn't get caught. I actually played it off really well, amazingly. But any way, I don't remember a lot about what happened. I was so dam high it was unbelievable. It wasen't the fact that all that stuff happened, but that I was so fucked up I couldn't remember what was happening, or where I was going. It was literally like I kept dazing in and out of reality.

Re: The Official Happiness Thread
That's not that bad. I once took 2 hits of kind bud to finish off a bowl that my friend had started earlier. That got me comparable to the highest I had ever been, not quite but it was fucking with my head intensely in waves. Then we smoked 5 bowls of regs(I think, I don't really remember all the smoking we did cuz I was that bad). I saw red X's over my eyes and wanted to lay down in front of the counter when I was ordering from Burger King(I was leaning on the railing and that was too much). I was so bad I didn't wanna eat. I know exactly what you mean by dazed in and out of reality though, and when I finally got home I passed out. The next morning I woke up and was still pretty high(head pressure still) and this was 12 hours after I smoked that not only was I high, I was pretty high(not super bad like before though). I was still laughy and goofy slightly high at school too(I woke up at 4am). That was not a good experience.

Bungie replied to my email
They can't give out the tag structures, but chris said he fowarded my intial email to another halo modder, and told me that "Hobby projects like map compilers, map editors, or little side project games are a huge influence on our hiring process.". FUCK YES.

Haha fucking sweet man. I hope that goes somewhere for you. I don't think I'd want to work for Bungie, but I can imagine that would be a dream for you. He emailed another modder, or another Bungie staff?

Yea, I know who it is too. I won't say who, as he might get mad, or it could cause some conflict, but lets just say it's a small world after allOwnZ joO wrote:Haha fucking sweet man. Bungie wrote: That sounds like an interesting project – I don't know if I'm aware of anyone building an entire map builder from scratch. Good luck – there is lots of logic in the Halo map file build process that you'll need to duplicate, which could be tricky – but the formats are pretty well understood in the mod community these days.
Unfortunately I can't provide you any source code for tag constructs. That code is owned by Microsoft and we don't have the right to just distribute it over email. However, I cc:ed "Sensored". He may be able to help you with your questions about tags.
Hobby projects like map compilers, map editors, or little side project games are a huge influence on our hiring process. They are one of the best ways to get your foot in the door and to make your resume stand out as an entry level candidate. In addition to that you also need the other elements to be successful:
· Good CS degree with good GPA from a decent school (doesn't have to be an elite school, but helps)
· Cover letter that tells us why you want to work here and proves you know how to communicate well
· Resume with link to website with videos, demos and source of any relevant projects
If you decide you're serious about applying as a tools programmer here, definitely let us know. Or I'd be happy to put you in touch with "Sensored", who we recently hired based in part on his work in the mod community, and he might have some tips for you.

They did say you need a CS degree, so it could be a while before he was even eligible to work for bungie, unless they decide to make some kind of exception.

It's not mandatory, but its recommended. On the site it says "Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience".OwnZ joO wrote:They did say you need a CS degree, so it could be a while before he was even eligible to work for bungie, unless they decide to make some kind of exception.

OMG, Jury Duty is the most boring shit I've ever had to attend.
Thank goodness the judge accepted my reason for "Hardship" and disqualified me from the Juror selection process.
Also, Grim, it appears you have stumbled upon some major win thar.
It seems you now have accidentally made your future a bit brighter.
