heh..for most of the summer I didn't get to sleep before 6 am, the only thing that got me out of bed before 3pm was a monster or rockstar (energy drinks)
2 a day was fine..got me awake..3 made me "twitchy" as in my hand wouldn't stop twitching.. but it wouldnt usually effect my sleep..

srsly.. I got nvidea 9500 and it works fine for anything I do.. I believe its under $30 now... I paid $75 for mine..

Hex Workshop is so fucking bugged!

Version 5 doesn't save my text color preferences and crashes often, Version 6 refuses to differentiate itself from Version 5(which doesn't exist on this machine) and as the result it's right-click-to-hex option doesn't work and Windows can't add it to the application list so I can't associate files with it.

And the only information I can find regarding Hex Workshop (or any Hex Editing app) is entirely composed downloads for the application and tuts on to edit fucking game saves.

Edit: The right click option just reappeared....only the open command still points to the v5 exe. >_>
Edit2: Fuck it, I cheated. Renamed the v6 folder to v5. The right click option is what I care about atm.

I don't remember all the features that HxD hex editor had, but it seemed like a decent editor, might wanna at least try it out and see if it does what you need.

Looks like the bearings on my xbox cooling fan finally starting to give out.
Once the console reaches a high enough temperature, the fan starts making that distinct pulsing squeal as well as slightly vibrating the console.

Good thing I still have the fan from my old xbox for when the fan finally breaks.

Edit: Fuck, it's not the main fan but rather the one on the CPU. Luckily I have a replacement for that as well.

It's the CPU fan that started to screw up. The heat sink can only hold a 40mm fan and there is only enough space for a 60mm.
It sounded like it's bearings were going out that that wasn't the case.

I open the case, removed the drives and started and shutdown the console as I watched the fan. It would spin up to near it's top speed then wobble and slow down to around 20% of how fast it should be. It was grinding against it's innards.

So I took a flat tip screw driver and started prying at all sides of it so now it doesn't grinds it's innards anymore.

My fucking brother Nick screwed up my TV with a magnet. He held the magnet up to the TV moving it violently and slowly at different times and said "It damages TV screens and monitors!" sarcastically. Well, the ass hole now put a fucking purple blotch right in the middle of my TV and also on the top corner and right side of my monitor. The computer monitor doesn't have much damage because I pushed him away, immediately after I push him away, he pelts me in the head with the magnet. Now my monitor is fucked, TV is fucked, and i have a lump on my head. FUCKING ASSHOLE!

Oh, and on top of that he deletes my data on my game cube memory card because he wants the card for himself and his game data.

All of that in only 30 minutes. Shows how fun life is some times.

No guarentees, but in the past I've used a magnet to move the blotch to the corner of the screen where it's not so bothersome.
On your monitor, have you tried an electrostatic discahrge? Might help.

...and oh, yeah. I like the adoption paper idea

Most CRT monitors have a Degauss function which will clear the discoloration.
For a CRT television however, you'll just have to wait for it to fade away since most do not have the Degauss function like their PC counterparts.
It will fade away eventually.

I had some magnets in my drawer under my TV for a day and it messed it up before I realized it...I just took the same magnets and played with it, positive and negative effect it differently obviously with dif colors, if you mess with it for a bit you can get it descent, and then try that drill thing again.
also..find something of your brothers to break... like loosen the screws on his bed frame supports -.-

This blister is annoying, it's on the contact point of my right hand's thumb and it makes it hard to grasp certain objects, as I don't want to rupture the blister because it would scar and could become infected.
