How the devil are people so good on forge?

Post by Dr Flatulator »

Sniffing around on bungie favourites, I downloaded all these kickass maps where objects have been merged into the floor, the walls etc.

Does it just take extreme patience?

One map I saw managed to pretty much perfectly place double boxes halfway into the ground with the underside of the box facing upwards. Just things like making racetracks and whatnot, and managing to merge walls so well that they make a smooth track. I know that you can hold an object, save, end game, and reload, and then it will be there when reloaded.

Can you move them by changing the coords by modding or something?

Well, you can mod the file that holds the spawn info for the forge maps, I haven't done it before but I know how people do it.
You may want to ask someone like Grim, I think he made(ing?) an app for this.

Or you could just do this-
Look at what I found.
Zieon Eslador (1:23:09 AM): I haven't seen Watchmen, but I plan to eventually...
NotZachary (1:23:15 AM): it has nukes, random things happening, and retards screaming
NotZachary (1:23:19 AM): kinda like MW2

Good luck, it takes a lot of patience. But maybe you're more patient than me.

Probably not, I'm one of those people who has all these awesome ideas, but really needs someone else to do it for them.

dude... lol my friend had his 360 and h3 at a party and i made a forge map in other room while they were playing something else, i spent three hours and made some pretty cool things..
but obviously i don't own and didn't at the time so i wasn't able to make anything near what a lot of people can
of course, this is partly because forge is the most basic form of halo2 modding (bsp viewer) that i never had a chance to use, yea I've tried multiple things..but my comp cant run a bsp viewer, and if i could somehow get it to, it'd crash or something to that effect.

Have you tried running the BSP Viewer with Entity Alpha?
