Oh god I hate it... but its this or dial-up...

And in reply to XZ,
conv in DF's sig... wrote:~XZ~Why have you got 2 versions of XP?
Do some research, then ask, k ;)
~XZ~Oh...I see a 64bit OS...still somewhat pointless, I find it hard to believe there would be a significant difference to the 32bit OS...
You can't run modding programs right on 64bit.

lol whoops its a Pentium 4 lol (I was thinking of my old mobo and processor :XD: )
And I could sworn that it was 3GHz.

Here's my main PC:

CPU: AMD athlon 64 X2 5200+ @ 2.6GHz
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H (AMD 690G Chipset)
RAM: PC5300 3.5GB (Only shows 3.25, stupid 32bit)
Graphics Card: Nvidia 9600GT @ 675MHz w/ 512MB GDDR3 (Waiting to install a 9800GT w/ 1024MB)
HDDs: 80GB sata, 500GB sata, 500GB USB
CD/DVD: USB x48 CD/DVD RW from sony (don't have the model number)
OS: Windows XP Pro (Corporate) 32bit SP3
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy (From 2002)
Monitor: 22" LCD monitor (1680x1050 native res)

MY ISP charges +$30 for 30000kbps down. Even if I was paying for it I wouldn't get it.

I'll get a pic when I get a digital camera... Wait a minute. I'll use my lego studio camera.

ACTUAL COMPUTER TALK:
  • I have an older dell Optiplex GX260 sitting next to me and I can't get video on it, it won't even at least show the dell bios. I'm using a working monitor and I've tried different ram sticks. I'm not sure what type of ram it uses but these are the right size. I've tried using a working video card with no luck. I checked all the jumper settings on the drives and they were all correct. I even tried booting it without any drives and that didn't do anything.
EDIT: I think I found the problem. The ram sticks are 266 and it takes 333.

There are a lot of Pros and Cons to a 64bit OS, heres what i found so far...

PROS

- utilize all 4GB of my RAM
- runs much smoother than 32bit
- hardly ever get virus, malware, or adware infections (I got that really bad malware attack, it infected my 64bit OS, but didnt do shit bc i didnt know how to infect a 64bit OS :XD:)

CONS

- doesnt want to run hardcore halo 2 modding applications (bsp viewer, model injection  Entity Alpha 1 is the only exception)

I Just Love It!! :D :D :D

The reason i have the 32bit installed is only for halo modding, which i havent done in a while... :(

Image
I have a 256k upload, but i have torrents running and im uploading a file to filefront for the time being... ;)

WTF? My computer failed at loading the blue screen of death. I think my harddrive is either not getting enough power (highly unlikely) or its dieing of constant use. It's only 80GB sata but it barely makes any noise at all and its faster then my 500GB sata drive that has more cache.

Is the 80GB of a SATA II connection? and the 500 on a SATA I?

No, their both sata II. Maybe I should try replacing the cables with better quality ones and see if there's a difference.

I can't get the correct read/write speed to show up in PCmark for some odd reason. It shows it writing at 0.02MB/s which is obviously false.
