It doesn't work with firefox for me, but it works with IE6 & 7.
Watch, next year duel core processors are going to be considered out dated. Pentium D's are pretty much gone, and I need a new motherboard for mine.
Don't you just love how vista lies about the amount of video memory your system has.

1650x1050 Settings: HIGH
1920x1080 Settings: EVERYTHING MAXED OUT. 2 FPS FTW!

I was looking at this: http://www.mini-itx.com/projects/cluster/?p and was wondering how to set up two Pentium 4's like that. I have two rarely used Compaqs and was thinking of setting them up like that, but will it work with windows?

Re: Computer Talk
My grand parents' pc, the graphics are so fail.
CPU: Pentium 4 2.80GHz
RAM: 504MB
GPU: Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset (128MB)
CTR Monitor, running at 800 x 600 (I get yelled at when I set it to a normal res like 1024x768).
OS: Windows XP SP2
It does have a front control panel for SD cards, but it has poor cooling.

Re: Computer Talk
There a way of making DX10 run on XP?
I think I saw somewhere someone modded it so it could do so.

I have an installer for DX10 but its a waste to install and can cause errors if your graphics card and the game your running doesn't support DX10.Gjsdeath wrote:There a way of making DX10 run on XP?

Re: Computer Talk
I'm looking for Parallel computing software or distributed processing software that runs in windows. I was going to connect four old pcs that I have laying around, two Pentium 2's, one Pentium 3, and one Pentium 4. I have about 256MB of ram for each of them and was thinking of running Windows 2000 on them.

Re: Computer Talk
Alky Project is the DX10 for XP that GjsDeath is referring to. xxPenguinxx is right though, it is a very incomplete release, and yet by far the closest people have come to porting it to XP. With it being incomplete, you see almost no difference in the graphical department, (from my experience) but a huge improvement in the BSOD and freezing one!

I like to delete files and reorganize and delete and reorganize more. Then I use a file shredder to delete free space occasionally too.

I was digging through a few old machines that I have and I found a 12GB 5.25" hard drive. I hope it works so I can set up raid with another drive as a test.
