Looks sick, I don't like the font in any of them but I can get over it. Maybe fade the white line on Sonic's leg?

Your first task for Uni... what exactly did I miss?

[V2] Keeps your ideas together, and does not force the mind to "roam" the image too much, which brings be to my second point:

Roaming: you have three distinct focal points in your image far from each other, a usual rule for advertisement posters is you have to grab the attention quickly and get your message across in just a few seconds, people barely glance at a poster for more than a few seconds. I would suggest trying to minimize the background swirls presence, and capitalize on your text and background characters in a more central position, create the background to draw the eye towards your true center-of-focus, the message.

Text: Your text is not immediately registrable and can "blend" into the background too much. I would try creating more contrast between the text and the background image like a glow, brighter colours, or some other method you see fit ;p
