Ive tryed using a skateboard shaped design, it doesent work. YOu have to go with either round, or square with a dimaond nose.

the one on mythbusters that moved and could hover was built on a surf board

I went and fooled around in Paint.Net, this is what I came up with... You would have to position the exhalation holes efficiently or it would be very hard to balance on.

from the looks of it, there wouldnt have the power to give lift, it better to use a blower engine

This is why I am not a hover-board designer...
