Who here has used water cooling before?

I'm going to water cool my computer but I'm having some problems looking for good components that don't cost too much ($150 at most for CPU & Chipset or VGA cooler). Later on I may add more too it if I get a SLI motherboard and a second graphics card.

My socket type is an AM2.

I'll add some things that I think are good when I see them.

I wouldn't trust water cooling. I mean IF it did leak, well then your whole PC is toast, and it could start a fire.

The best way to go is Nitrogen, Ammonia or CO2. They are all legal and are very cheap.

Atm watercooling is expensive as you can see and also its generaly used by people that overclocks their cpu because it cools better then anything else (except nitrogen cooling of course...)

Well its yar choice ^^ watercooling looks cool, if that's what you're looking for :p

My friend has a 4-core and he overclocks it.
still its not like you can make your cpu go that much faster.
1 core has a limit around 2-3 ghz, at least until we get a fiber optic cpu working.

Why are you wanting water cooling in the first place?
Really, unless your over clocking there's no real need for one.

And you could always make your own, just need a water pump and some garden hose.

I was looking around and this seems like a decent cooling system:

My main purpose of this is really just to do so. I'm not a big overclocker. For me installing a water cooling system is really more for looks rather then performance. My CPU runs between 26C & 28C idling and never goes above 40C as long as I clean out the dust every month from the heatsinks and fans. And thats using the stock cooler with the thermal paste that was pre-applied to the heatsink.

I've seen people using mineral oil and submerging the motherboard in it to cool their system but I think mineral oil is too thick to use with a pump and it may cause corrosion in the water blocks. I've read people using 70% antifreeze mixed with 30% water but I'm not sure how conductive antifreeze is.

$134.99 is a lot to spend for looks...

Ya...looks only to be enclosed in a metal box.
So to make those looks "lookable" you need to do/spend more. (>_>)

26-28C even in idling is an amazingly low temperature already too..

Im telling yea, Nitrogen or CO2, you can bolth for under 2$ a gallon.
