CD Drive Derranged!

Post by DoorM4n »

Ok, look, the only other place I have seen this on is Mythbusters and I want people to give me some logical explanations for how this happened.

My Total Annihilation CD disc just shattered into 1 million pieces just now as I loaded the game up. It was safely in the disc drive and has worked hundreds of times in the past. Today, it is in my hand, in about 1 million pieces.

Can anyone explain how this happened? :?

That's something I have never heard of happening before.

Was it broken when you ejected it?

Maybe the disk-drive is malfunctioning. I'd check it and try and fix it or get a new one so this won't happen on a more expensive disk.

The plastic. I had a Halo 2 disk that degraded the inside ring into oblivion.

Dr. Becker says: The harmonics created by wear and tear in your disk drive, reached the perfect frequency to destablize the molecular bond of the plastic used in the disk.

Haha, that's hilarious.

I've been using the ancient language word for "hit," or "break," from Eragon, around the house all day, hoping I'd break something.

Mah bad, DoorM4n.

Read Eragon.
Me explaining it would serve only to further confuse you.
