I got a ACER 8 in laptop with windows XP! But my school is weird and wants us to use Mac only... It took me 4 hours but I got it all set up stuff installed and a mac skin . Hopefully they don't see the Windows XP sticker on the bottom. Its really nice though!

Ha. I might get a descent computer in January, place my mom used to work is cleaning out, tons of computers from the office need to go. They aren't anything great, but i know all of them are at least twice as good as my POS, if only i could use my moms comp... freaking 2.4 G Hz dual core, 4gigs of ram nvidia 9200 series card..

anyways, soldering station FTW.

Don't waste your time with Java.

There's nothing wrong with java. It has a harder learning curve than .Net languages to get the same kind of functionality, but it's still a good thing to know.

Well Halo 2 for xbox wont load for some reason, it just freezes before it even loads the first bink file. So I can't test it. I've tried everything.

Grim, what could you possibly need 1TB for? I would have personally gotten a 250gb 10,000 RPM drive.

Anyone will say that untill they actually max out the drive...then curse quietly as they go and buy the 1TB.

I would have trouble maxing out a drive like that, because I like to go through and delete old crap that I don't use so I don't clutter everything up.
