I got my weapon models in the game and skinnable (thx to dark and DS) :D

If u need help going from finished model to game mode, i can help :)

They are both fairly easy.
I only take it as a bump as if someone would say something bad about it, or 3 years old and say something bad about it.

Also, i can model, its just, there not that good, i will only put a good model in my mod.
and i'm going to try to make 4 models 1= reg autogun, 2= small damage to autogun, 3=large damage, and 4= dead/destroyed. all the size of the sentinel, so i can use it's coll and phmo

Your a much better modeler then me, you may help if you want, i'm going for a UNSC look.
look in the first level, under models "news drone", see how it looks with the fans?


Also as you could tell by the Topic name, this project is on hold,
This does not mean the Project is dead, its just taking a nap.

Okay, I was thinking about it, I didn't like the 2nd idea, its going off the original concept.

And I'm going to bring this project back to life, or at least try to... it will most likely included in my next mod and if the mod does not get done soon enough, I'll just release the tag.

Looks like a cool project, to bad it isn't getting done faster. Also it would be great to do more detail work on it preferably on the guns.

Ugh, one set back after another.

I might as well just give up on it, after working on things for other games, which use scripting for everything(most based off C++) , it has become hard for me to continue a Halo2 project.

Well, my method was to use an effect to spawn a biped with no health, so it dies on spawn, then it would death spawn a AI, which would of been the ADT.

Since I am pretty much done with halo2 modding, I hope someone might continue on this project, though it would be nice to be given credit for the method of spawning the AI.

I don't see why, when in the bipd tag there is a tag reference for Actor Spawned On Death.....

It's not the method keeping my back, it's everything that I try to set up to get ready to try the method.

I try to add AI to MP(which I have done before) and it freezes, I try to add in the [char]s, it freezes.

All I need to do for tests and to get this to work;
AI in MP(idc if there is zones or not)
The "news drone" [scen](it also has animations)
The sentinel [char]
The Flood Carrier[bipd]

That should be enough to do the tests and make the mod. Which I would release in a map so anyone can just export the tag.

I try to do must those things some of them work but then when I go to the next one it causes the map to freeze or never leave the main menu.

How's Mutation coming along? Maybe when it's done I will try again. I might try again with entity, but really, I am getting tired of it.
tag reference for Actor Spawned On Death.....
And I already knew that, I wouldn't of made a method of using it...

Sadly, it died along with my will to mod Halo2. You have to really enjoy the challenge of modding in order to want to. After so many set backs, I just left. I really can't go back now, not after learning about Half-Life 2 modding.

I am depressed about all my old Halo2 projects though. I really wanted them out there for I and others to enjoy. But every black screen and freeze just slowly smashed my inspiration into the dirt.

I really am sorry to everyone, I know a lot of you looked forward to a lot of my ideas. Then I go and disappoint all of you. :(

Sadly, all my modding work is gone. Lost when I was forced to reformat.

Though, according to my theory, it should be very easy to do.

Weapon spawns biped. (easy)
Biped dies instantly, death spawning the turret.
Turret is owned by the biped, which was owned by the player. Thus, it should be on the player's team.

Maybe, I'll give this a another try... doubtful, it would be hard to go back. I can barely remember how.
