Xbox Debug Tool - Alpha

Post by Eaton »

Xbox Debug Tool

Well, after learning a lot more C# by programming Xbox 360 programs, I decided to come back to the old Xbox scene and look at the YeloDebug library. After looking through the source code, I realized that making a tool would be pretty easy.

Features:

-Reboot the Xbox with variable boot flags
-View pretty much all of your Xbox's information
-Perfect screnshot function
-Lots of different skins to choose from
-And much more!

Version History:

0.3.0.0 *September 8, 2009
-Initial test release

Known bugs:

-Crashes if YeloDebugSettings.xml is missing

Side Notes:

I am releasing this now because I'm going to be busy and I'm probably not going to have time to work on it. It's rather useful at this state so I decided to release an alpha and see what you all think. Keep in mind, this is an alpha. Not everything is perfect.

Don't delete the .pdb file. It is needed for the exception report feature.

Updates will be delivered through the build in updater. The updated version will also be announced and posted here.

What will this do when it is done? Everything in the YeloDebug library... Which is A LOT.

Important Notes:

-Don't delete the YeloDebug settings xml or the .pdb file.

I can't get it to connect...

Are you using Xbox7887's patched xbdm.dll?

Yes
Using neodos's debug pack?

If so, wait for the next version. (0.4) I will add message boxes to handle all of the different connection errors instead of just one.

Ok, I no longer have the means to test anymore things and I've lost all interest in the original Xbox overall. Sooooo... I will release the source and you guys can complete it if you want. :P (See attachment)

Also, I'm probably done with Halo 2 modding as well. I've been waiting ages for newer and better tools to come out, but.. well.. none really have. :| Even if Prometheus, Mutation, and Soffish came out on the same day, it wouldn't intrigue me enough. It's been fun, but my time here has come to a close. I've moved on to the Xbox 360 modding scene. The Remnant community has always been encouraging and unlike any community I've seen. That's why I come by every now and then to check up on the progress. I still have builds of Floodout II somewhere... I'll look for them later and maybe post one sometime.

Could you post the Devexpress and other references you used because I can't load the whole project without them.

As for EZIO, no, because that's my private library.
