Why am I only seeing the first map in each folder in firefox while in IE8 I see them all?

EDIT: I just upgraded to Firefox 3.6 and that fixed the issue.

I'm getting about 1.1MB/s

No, I said five Mega-bit, which would be five thousand one hundred and twenty kilo-bits, or five million, two hundred and forty two thousand, eight hundred and eighty bits.

Edit: 5120Kb/s

PS: b = bits, B = bytes. 8 bit = 1 bytes. Pet peeve.

Exactly, or 0.625 MegaBYTES per second, aka ~500 KiloBYTES per second. :)

Maybe if you had said like 550 I would let you get away with ~500, but you said 625... It's actually very confusing with the measurements. Hard Drive makers market a kilobyte as 1000 bytes, where as computer scientists say it's 1024 bytes. So you really have to make sure on how they're measuring stuff or else you really don't know.

Yeah, but you rarely get 640KB/s when that's what your supposed download speed is. I said ~(about)500KB/s, because I figured that's the ACTUAL speeds you would receive on average from average servers on average days. Speed varies, of course.

That's a curious question... backups are just there for when you actually lose something. Most of us should have most of the maps if we are modding still. So until someone goes ahead and accidentally corrupts a clean map, theres no need to download a new one.

Your all wrong! Isps advertise in megabits. Well a megabyte would be 1024 kilobytes, so 1024 * 1024 bytes. But we are using bits here. So lets devide that by 8 and find out that 1 megabit is 131072kbs where 1 megabyte is 1048576kbs.

I know that they mean megabytes, but I always get a laugh when they say megabit :p

That old bitch has had that internet for so long.

Also, all ISPs suck.
I have the top residential package from Comcast, but if I host a game of MW2, they flick my internet on and off.

Hell, Gary has it the worst. Basically runs dialup...but with a bandwidth cap and multiple machines.

...

Hmm. Random post in random thread for random reason...I suspect there be a haxor afoot!
