Sorry for the double post, but just to let everyone know, this sometimes doesn't work unless your xbox is connected through a router, it won't work when I have it connected directly to my pc. Don't ask me why, just may not work.

If you don't use a static IP on your xbox then it won't work without a router and the IP may change every once in a while if you use a Dynamic IP with a router.

Try setting your xbox's IP to a static IP and it should work. I'm not sure about the DNS but is it needed for FTP'ing?

I didn't write the code to communicate with the xbox. Like I said that was written by xbox7887 and Kornman01. I don't know why you had problems, and because they have not released the source code, I probably won't until they do(if they do that is).

I would recommend you use DHCP. Static is a pain in the ass to get to work. Yes you do need the DNS numbers, and the only easy way to get them is to call your ISP.

If your xbox is plugged directly into your pc you leave the dns fields blank.

If your xbox is rigged via router use dhcp and it does everything for you.

I only used static when plugged in direct to pc, other than that I see no need to use static.

Boom. SuperBump-DoublePost.

Someone please help me with this.

Now using a router. Other RTH apps work, the crap ones, but standalone doesn't.

Screenshot explains all.

Hmm, have you tried to use it even if it says failed to connect? Could just be me making a coding error, if not I'm not sure what the deal is.

-.- the only halo modding RTH app that works for me is Onyx, no entitys no minirth no standalone not contribute beta whatever..
XIG XDC and XBN work fine.. which isnt really a problem it still beats restarting and ftp'ing.. just means I have to clear my cache by loading another map.

Yeah, I have, and no luck still.

I'll try removing IE 8 and see if that helps.

This always has happened with me. And I have no idea why...

Perhaps because I used XDI?

i got google chrome, kinda fast, but what a piece of shit, andi hate the genaric folder look.
So i fucked around and fixed IE8, it so much better. To Microsoft: (pay me bitch!)

You guys dont know shit. I can do so many things with IE that cant be done with other browsers.

Like get free mp3's without it being tracable.
And dont say index of shit, thats tracable.

But back on topic, I dont know why, but many of us have the same problem, some RTH apps not working. Onyx works, xxxxRTH works, xbox neiborhood works, i can get screen shots with contribue app but rth wont work.

I have to swap to another xbdm for contribute's screen shots.

Is there any word on this working with windows 7?

Image

It seems to open up fine with the version "Vista Maybe", but as soon as I press connect it will just give me an error.
I ask this because I hear this works perfectly fine for others, entity's built in RTH is horrible.

Edit: Actually the only version that works for me is "MiniRTH" however that doesn't seem to work on a lot of tags.. just small swaps.

I'm afraid not, unless however there's a different dll I should be using? His download already came with it inside the folder's contents.

Nevermind that last question because I don't think the rth that was supplied in this dl is different from entity's because they're both the same
