unfortunatly after my hdd crashed i was only able to retrieve some tools, and the plugin sets i have left are giving me trouble.

I have a cloning set, but only a couple tags clone well with it, and i have the converted css plugins still, but they give me trouble too. I found Ent 1.3 set but i had made some edits to that set, and cant remember which ones i fuckerd.

Entity really lacks a patch maker/applier...

Oh about 4 months ago...
The whole process hasn't completely sunken in yet, but I think that's the latest released version. I also have a newer version that changed the quick keys as suggested to F5-F9 and started creating help pages (accessed by F1), but I haven't updated it to git. I completed most of the pages for the main section, but the MapForm & BSP viewer help pages needed writing still (all HTML based).
I could try to update it if you want, but I wouldn't want to place it in release yet, so I'd have to look at all the git help pages again.

its always good to have the most up to date version, and i make changes you'll still be able to finish off the help pages if you get around to it =)

The reader is complete. It's just a matter of doing the HTML files now. I'll see if I remember how to update stuff.

That's what branching is for, create a new branch called documentation to work on and merge it back in when you have finished it.

Okay, I added aDocumentation branch with Added support for HTML help files, changed quick keys (F5-F9 now) and also I modified the network code to scan any available network adapters and forcefully use the one that gets a response back (I had issues with having my xbox crossover cable linked and not turning off my wireless; it would try to access my xbox over the wireless and fail). also, removed a duplicate MetaEditor directory.

I've identified a bug with Entity's save meta function.
None of the output streams where being flushed, which could result in incomplete saves (particularly when recursively saving a lot of data).
Unfortunately, I can't commit the changes (troy could you give me commit rights?) but I've attached a build and the changed files.

^cool^ good to see it's still been worked on, I'm really looking forward to getting settled enough to get my gear setup again to work with the amazing tools built in the last year

with regard to these posts can a lvl1.x patch maker be put in to entity? There was one once but circa 1.4ish I never got round to use it to test how it worked.
Also could any open sauce code be used for building/extracting

If the stream is .Closed(); then it is flushed.

Most of the time yes, but in my experience not always...
Not to mention the fact that the reason I suspected the bug exsisted in the first place was due to missing data from an extraction =P
(All the files were created but some of them were empty, causing entity to crash when it tried to build them)

I think I did, assuming you are "xzodia" (https://github.com/xzodia). There's no details, so I am not positive. If not, let me know and I'll change it.

:woo: I have no clue what I'm doing there. I just code and type in some lines that put my code online or something... I feel very n00bish using GitHub. Thanks!

Thanks. Looked at that and got the newest source downloaded & back uploaded.

Also 2.1.18 is out just in time for Halloween! Changes listed on front page & on install.

Gonna need some people to u/l their better plugins now
I uploaded the default ones I have for now.

EDIT:
**If you just upload your plugins to the Misc server /Plugin directory, then run the plugin updater, it will discover & rename them automatically (this will cause it to be slow on loading while it's adding these entries). It also performs a MD5 hash check and removes duplicate entries.

I know of a couple [very] minor bugs exist (such as the quick keys still being labelled F1-F5). It'll get fixed new release mb.

Troy, have you made any changes since your commit back in June?
I couldn't see any in your last commit. Thing is, I'm in the middle of restructuring the solution so changes since then would get lost when commit it...

I've posted a few commits, including the release of 2.1.18 just yesterday.
https://github.com/troymac1ure/Entity/commits/master

I merged your master fix into the Documentation branch & then posted a new master commit (I think anyways, seemed to work and has your updates as well :? )
If I did something wrong, let me know. As I said before, code sharing is all new to me.

Oh, I didn't realise you had made a branch...
Yea your merge went fine, but I've moved a lot of stuff around using the master branch, so I've had to manually apply the changes >_<

However, HelpForm and PluginUpdater appear to be missing from the repository, can you send me them?
